Born in Lucca, where he still works today, he began his artistic activity in the 1970s with solo and group painting exhibitions. At the same time, alongside his architectural studies, he developed his first experimental readings of urban physical space through performances and installations. In 1985, he took part in the Third International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale with Adolfo Natalini. He also created Uscita dell’Emiciclo and other objects for Megalopoli Milano.
From 1986 onward, he began his professional activity as an architect, focusing his interest on the space between art, architecture, and design. He designs interiors, private residences, shops, and installations, integrating the various components of memory, architecture, and art. He collaborates with Italian companies in the design of objects and furniture and made his debut with Giovannetti through Amata in 1992. Also he has taken part in exhibitions and events dedicated to design and art.
In 2005, he created La casa nella scatola, with an introduction by Philippe Daverio, for Comieco, Milan. With this book, he won the 2005 edition of the National Gianfranco Fedrigoni Prize for fine editions, taking first place in the communication publishing section. Anime dove passa meglio il vento, a solo exhibition, was held at DiART in Trapani.
