Dune

Dune

An oasis of well-being that welcomes us and cradles us among its sandy dunes after a tiring day. These modular elements, born from Giovannetti’s research and desire to experiment, form a program that adapts to the needs of the space in which it is placed.

AUTHOR BOX: S. Santantonio

He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and immediately proved himself to be a skilled and eclectic designer. In 2004, he founded the Sandro Santantonio Design studio, which works in architecture, interior design, fashion design, graphics, and packaging, with a focus on the research of trends, materials, and technologies. The group led by his studio represents a synthesis of the various areas of contemporary design.

Santantonio’s work expresses freedom of change, fluidity, and research: it seeks to go beyond function as an end in itself through careful study of form. The SSD studio has received several awards, including the Young&Design 2004 Special Mention for the armchair Flower, the following year for the sofa line Le Dune, and in 2006 for the table Wave, all pieces designed for the Giovannetti collection.

Later, the studio received other awards, including Abitare il mare, as well as recognitions such as a mention at the Compasso d’Oro. Since 2009, Sandro Santantonio, in addition to working as a designer, has taught at the Brera Academy and ISAD in Milan.
